The vehicle body is exposed to high loads during fast driving, particularly due to weight transfer during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to 3 times more than the other. This can result in chassis flex, body deformation and torsional twisting, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing rear torsion bar helps increase chassis rigidity and limit its twisting.
