ACL Race main bearings for BMW S85

ACL Race main bearings for BMW S85 are tri-metal engine bearings designed for higher RPM conditions. The combination of construction, metallurgy and engineering improves fatigue resistance and bearing retention in the housing.

3/4 grooving optimizes the main bearing load-carrying surface area and oil flow to the conrod bearings. Increased eccentricity helps compensate for bore distortion at high RPM and assists in forming hydrodynamic oil films.

Sizes

STD is the standard size for an unground crankshaft. Undersizes (−0.25 mm, −0.50 mm …) are for a reground crank, and “+0.025 mm clearance” (X) is for highly stressed engines. Your machine shop chooses the size after measuring.
