ACL Race Series main bearings are trimetal engine bearings designed for high-RPM operating conditions. The set includes ACL Race Series main bearings.
The design uses a high-strength overlay plate, increased crush for improved retention in the housing, and increased eccentricity to compensate for bore distortion and assist in forming hydrodynamic oil films.
- High-strength overlay plate with reduced thickness for improved fatigue properties
- Eliminated flash plating on the back for improved heat transfer and increased grip in the housing
- 3/4-grooved main bearings to optimize bearing load-carrying surface area and oil flow to the conrod bearings
- Tight, consistent wall tolerances to help maintain consistent clearances
- Enlarged ID chamfers on bearing edges where required for large fillet radii on performance crankshafts

Sizes
STD is the standard size for an unground crankshaft. Undersizes (−0.25 mm, −0.50 mm …) are for a reground crank, and “+0.025 mm clearance” (X) is for highly stressed engines. Your machine shop chooses the size after measuring.
