The catch can kit is intended for later vehicles on the MK5 platform with a 2.0 TSI engine. The catch can prevents oil vapour from entering the intake manifold and deposits from building up on the intake valves in direct-injection engines.
Oil deposits on the intake manifold and valves can cause reduced engine performance, increased fuel consumption and damage the sensitive intake manifold flaps and engine.
The kit includes
- CTS Turbo aluminium breather valve cover, CNC-machined
- CTS Turbo aluminium catch can with an oil-level dipstick
- Black -10 AN Black-Series braided hoses
- Catch can mounting bracket
- Modular intake manifold plug
- Hose-Wrangler clamp
Additional CTS-HW-426 bracket is required to install this catch can together with a CTS Turbo engine mount.
Note: During the winter months, the liquid in the catch can may freeze and cause engine damage. Check the fluid level regularly or remove the catch can when temperatures are below freezing.
All installation hardware is included, including a new sealing ring for the rear PCV system. Installation does not require drilling or cutting the bodywork. The kit is not compatible with the noise pipe hose. Designed for direct installation.
