This oil catch can kit is designed for vehicles with a 2.0T FSI engine and helps prevent oil vapours from entering the intake manifold and deposits from building up on the intake valves of direct-injection engines.
Deposits in the intake manifold and on the valves can cause reduced performance, increased fuel consumption and damage to sensitive intake flaps and the engine. The oil catch can helps keep the PCV system clean and trouble-free.
The kit includes
- CTS Turbo CNC-machined aluminium breather valve cover;
- CTS Turbo aluminium oil catch can with oil level dipstick;
- black -10 AN Black-Series braided hoses;
- mounting bracket for the oil catch can;
- modular intake manifold plug;
- Hose-Wrangler clamp;
- all mounting hardware.
The kit is not suitable for vehicles with a carbon filter. It does not fit with the original engine cover.
Installation of the oil catch can together with a CTS Turbo engine mount requires CTS-HW-426. Compatibility with other aftermarket engine mounts is not guaranteed.
Warning: during the winter months, fluid in the oil catch can may freeze and cause engine damage. Check the fluid level regularly or remove the oil catch can when temperatures fall below freezing.
