Racingline Oil Management System – 2.0 TFSI EA113 (VWR13G500)

The Racingline Oil Management System is a multifunctional upgrade for the 2.0 TFSI EA113 engine, developed based on Racingline’s motorsport programme. It performs two important tasks: removing oil and moisture vapours from the crankcase and helping to protect the engine from oil starvation during heavy braking on the racetrack.

This is not an ordinary oil catch can, but a complete system that addresses two well-known weak points of the EA113 platform under demanding engine use.

Cleaner intake system and cleaner combustion

All petrol engines produce blow-by gases, meaning oil vapours that escape past the piston rings into the crankcase. In the standard design, these vapours are returned to the intake system, where they gradually coat the intercooler, intake hoses and intake ports with a layer of oil. Over time, this reduces airflow efficiency and cooling performance.

The Racingline oil catch can uses a fully baffled internal design that condenses these vapours and separates oil and moisture from the air before it returns to the intake system. The collected liquid gathers at the bottom of the can, where it can be drained easily, while cleaner air continues on its way to the engine. The result is a tidier engine bay, a cleaner intercooler and a more consistent air-fuel mixture.

Protection against oil starvation

Through extensive racetrack testing of the EA113 engine, Racingline discovered a serious problem: during prolonged braking with high lateral and longitudinal acceleration, the oil in the sump can move away from the oil pump pickup. This causes brief but dangerous oil starvation in the upper part of the engine and has already caused engine failures in vehicles driven intensively.

The kit therefore includes a specially designed Engine Breather Plate, which helps keep the oil where it is needed, even during heavy braking. For EA113-powered vehicles used on the racetrack, this is an important protective component.

Carbon vapour filter: The system is suitable only for vehicles that do not have a carbon vapour filter fitted or from which it has already been removed. Check your vehicle specification before installation.

The kit is intended for 2.0 TFSI EA113 engines in various performance models from Volkswagen, Audi, SEAT and Škoda, including the Golf GTI/Edition 30, Golf GTI, Scirocco R, S3, Leon Cupra and Octavia vRS.
