The vehicle body is subjected to heavy loads during spirited driving, particularly due to weight transfer during fast cornering, hard braking and acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This can lead to significant twisting and bending of the body, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis twisting and deformation during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
This 3-point fender brace helps further connect and reinforce the body area on the Honda Prelude IV (BB1/4) with the 2.2 H22A engine and 2WD drivetrain.
