The vehicle body is the part subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly noticeable due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This can result in greater bending and torsional twisting of the body, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Bending and twisting of the body when cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
Ultra Racing body reinforcements help limit such deformation and increase vehicle stiffness.
