The car body is the part subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is especially pronounced due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to 3 times more than the other. This results in significant bending and twisting of the body, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Bending and twisting of the body in corners can cause unwanted handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer. The two-point C-pillar brace helps increase body stiffness in the mounting area.
