The car’s chassis is the part that is subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly pronounced due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or hard acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to as much as three times more force than the other. This can result in significant twisting and bending of the chassis or bodywork, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Bending and twisting of the chassis during cornering can cause unwanted driving characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing brace is designed to reduce these effects on body rigidity.
