The vehicle body is subjected to significant loads during dynamic driving, particularly due to weight transfer during fast cornering, hard braking and acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This can lead to twisting and bending of the body, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Deformation and twisting of the chassis while driving through corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
The brace uses 3 mounting points and is intended for the 3rd-generation Toyota Caldina (T240) with a 2.0ZT naturally aspirated engine in the 2WD version or a 2.0T GT4 engine in the 4WD version.
