The vehicle’s chassis or body is the part subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. High loads are caused mainly by the transfer of the body’s weight during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This causes significant chassis flex or body deformation and torsion, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis deformation and flex during cornering can cause unwanted handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
This brace is designed to provide additional stiffness to the fender area and reduce unwanted body flex.
