The car body is the part subjected to the greatest loads during sporty driving. This is particularly noticeable due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This results in increased body twisting and deformation, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis twisting and deformation while driving through corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing fender brace is designed to increase the rigidity of this part of the body.
