The vehicle chassis is the part that is subjected to the greatest loads during driving. This is particularly evident when the body weight is transferred during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This leads to significant chassis twisting and deformation, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The front lower chassis brace helps further connect the mounting points and reduce body twisting.
