The car’s chassis is the component subjected to the greatest stress during dynamic driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to 3 times more force than the other. This can result in significant chassis flex, as well as body deformation and twisting, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing front lower chassis brace helps reinforce this area and limit unwanted twisting.
