The vehicle chassis is subjected to considerable loads during fast driving, particularly due to the transfer of body weight when cornering quickly, braking hard and accelerating.
When driving through a corner, the transfer of weight to one side of the vehicle can result in forces up to three times greater than on the other side. This causes the chassis or body to bend and twist, resulting in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting when driving through corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The front lower chassis brace helps increase the rigidity of this part of the body.
