The vehicle chassis is exposed to heavy loads while driving, particularly due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This can lead to chassis twisting and deformation, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting while driving through corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer. The front lower brace helps increase the rigidity of this part of the chassis.
