The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly pronounced due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
In some cases, weight transfer in a corner can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This can result in significant bending and twisting of the chassis or bodywork, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Bending and twisting of the chassis in corners can cause unwanted handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
This is where Ultra Racing comes in. This front lower chassis brace is designed to provide an additional connection between the mounting points at the front of the vehicle.
