The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during driving. This is particularly evident when the body weight is transferred during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
In some cases, weight transfer during cornering can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This causes significant deformation and twisting of the body, resulting in a loss of tyre grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable driving characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
The brace is designed to reduce unwanted bending and twisting of the front section of the chassis.
