The vehicle’s chassis is subjected to significant loads during fast cornering, hard braking and acceleration, mainly due to the transfer of the body’s weight.
When cornering, the transfer of weight can cause forces on one side of the vehicle to be up to three times greater than on the other side. This causes the chassis or body to twist and deform, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing front lower chassis brace helps increase the stiffness of this area.
