The vehicle chassis is subjected to high loads during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration due to the transfer of body mass.
When cornering, the load on one side of the vehicle can be up to three times greater than on the other side. This causes the chassis or body to bend and twist, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting while driving through corners can cause unwanted handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer. The front lower brace helps increase the rigidity of this part of the chassis.
