The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or sudden acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This results in high loads on the chassis, as well as twisting and deformation of the bodywork, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause unwanted handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing front lower chassis brace helps further connect the mounting points and improve the rigidity of this part of the chassis.
