A car’s chassis is subjected to considerable loads while driving, especially due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to 3 times more than the other. This can result in significant chassis twisting or body deformation, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause unwanted handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing front lower chassis brace helps increase the stiffness of this area of the body.
