A car’s chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly noticeable due to the transfer of the body’s weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When weight is transferred in a corner, one side of the vehicle can be subjected to three times more force than the other. This causes significant chassis flex and body deformation and torsional loads, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and flexing while driving through corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing front lower brace helps further connect and stiffen the chassis at the front of the vehicle.
