The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest stress during dynamic driving. High loads occur primarily due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to as much as three times more force than the other. This can cause the chassis to twist and bend, or the bodywork to deform, resulting in loss of tyre grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
This front lower chassis brace attaches to 4 mounting points.
