The vehicle body is exposed to significant loads during dynamic driving, particularly due to weight transfer during fast cornering, hard braking and acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This results in greater deformation and body twisting, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis twisting while driving through corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The interior body brace helps to increase body stiffness and limit twisting.
