When cornering quickly, braking hard and accelerating, a car’s chassis is subjected to high loads. This causes load transfer through the body, affecting the vehicle’s stiffness and handling.
In certain situations, load transfer when cornering can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This can result in significant bending and twisting of the body, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing interior brace helps further stiffen the body and limit its deformation.
