The car’s chassis is one of the most heavily loaded parts of the vehicle, as it is affected by body weight transfer during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This can cause significant chassis flex and body deformation, consequently resulting in a loss of tyre grip.
Chassis flex during cornering can lead to unwanted driving characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The interior chassis brace helps increase the vehicle’s rigidity at the mounting position.
