The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads while driving, mainly due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or hard acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This can result in greater chassis flex and body twisting, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis flex and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The mid lower chassis brace helps reduce such deformation and improves body rigidity.
