The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly pronounced due to the transfer of the body’s weight during fast cornering, hard braking and decisive acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This can result in significant chassis flex, deformation and body twisting, causing the tyres to lose grip.
