The vehicle chassis is one of the most heavily loaded parts, as it is affected by weight transfers through the body during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. This can result in significant chassis flex and twisting and deformation of the body, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting while driving through corners can cause unwanted handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The brace is attached at 6 mounting points.
