The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly true due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or hard acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to loads up to three times greater than the other. This can result in pronounced chassis twisting and bending or body deformation, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing mid lower chassis brace helps further connect the suspension mounting points and limit undesirable body movement.
