The car chassis is the part of the vehicle subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly true due to the transfer of body weight when driving quickly through corners, braking hard or accelerating.
In some cases, weight transfer in a corner can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to a force up to three times greater than the other. This causes severe chassis flex, deformation and torsional body twisting, resulting in a loss of tyre grip.
Chassis deformation and flex when driving through corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing mid lower chassis brace is designed to reduce this deformation and improve body rigidity.
