The vehicle chassis is subjected to heavy loads during dynamic driving, particularly due to the transfer of the body’s weight during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When cornering, the transfer of weight to one side of the vehicle can generate forces up to 3 times greater than on the other side. This causes the chassis to flex, or the body to deform and twist torsionally, resulting in a loss of tyre grip.
Chassis deformation and flexing during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. This mid lower chassis brace helps increase body rigidity and limit body flex.
