The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. This is particularly evident when the body weight is transferred during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to loads up to three times greater than the other. This results in significant bending and twisting of the chassis or bodywork, causing the tyres to lose grip.
