The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. This is particularly evident when the body weight is transferred during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When weight is transferred through a corner, one side of the vehicle can experience up to 3 times more load than the other. This results in greater chassis flex, body deformation and loss of tyre grip.
Chassis flex and deformation during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer. The mid lower brace with 4 mounting points helps increase the rigidity of the lower part of the body.
