The mid lower chassis brace helps limit chassis twisting and body flex during dynamic driving. During fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration, the chassis is subjected to high loads caused by the transfer of the vehicle body’s weight.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to 3 times more than the other. This causes greater chassis twisting and body deformation, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis twisting and deformation during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
