A car’s chassis is the part that is subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is especially noticeable due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or sudden acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to a force up to 3 times greater than the other. This can result in significant bending and twisting of the chassis or bodywork, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis flexing and twisting while cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
This rear lower chassis brace helps increase bodywork rigidity in the mounting area.
