The car’s chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. This is particularly pronounced due to the transfer of the body’s mass during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to as much as three times more force than the other. This can result in considerable chassis flexing, deformation and twisting of the body, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
This rear lower chassis brace is designed to provide additional support for the rear of the vehicle. It is mounted at 4 mounting points.
Suitable for: BMW 3 VI (F30/F31/F34/F80).
