The vehicle chassis is subjected to considerable loads during dynamic driving, particularly due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, hard braking and acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to 3 times more than the other. This can result in greater body twisting and deformation, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis twisting and deformation when cornering can cause undesirable driving characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The rear lower brace helps to reduce undesirable chassis movement.
