The Ultra Racing rear lower chassis brace is designed to reduce chassis twisting when driving through corners, braking hard and accelerating. It attaches at 4 mounting points.
The vehicle’s chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads from the driver’s inputs. This is especially evident when the body mass shifts during fast cornering, hard braking or hard acceleration.
In some cases, the transfer of mass during cornering can cause one side of the vehicle to experience up to 3 times more force than the other side. This causes significant bending, deformation and twisting of the chassis, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause unwanted handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
This is where the Ultra Racing brace comes into its own.
