The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest stress during dynamic driving. This is particularly evident due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or sudden acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to 3 times more than the other. This leads to substantial chassis flex, or deformation and twisting of the body, causing the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing brace is designed to reduce these effects by providing additional support for the lower part of the chassis.
