The car’s chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly evident when the body’s weight is transferred during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to up to three times more force than the other. This causes considerable chassis twisting and body deformation, resulting in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable driving characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing brace helps reduce unwanted bending of the rear section of the chassis. The product is intended for the Porsche Boxster (986), model years 1996–2004, with a 2.5 engine and 2WD.
