The vehicle chassis is subjected to the greatest loads while driving, particularly due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
When cornering, the force on one side of the vehicle can be up to three times greater than on the other. This causes greater twisting and deformation of the chassis or bodywork, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Twisting and deformation of the chassis while cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The rear lower brace helps increase chassis stiffness in the mounting area.
