The vehicle chassis is the part exposed to the greatest loads during driving. These loads mainly result from the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or sudden acceleration.
When driving through a corner, the load on one side of the vehicle can be up to three times greater than the load on the other side. This causes the chassis to twist or the bodywork to deform, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause unwanted handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing rear lower chassis brace helps further connect and stiffen the lower part of the bodywork.
