The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest stress during dynamic driving. This is mainly caused by the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking and intense acceleration.
When weight is transferred in a corner, one side of the vehicle can be subjected to as much as three times more force than the other. This causes significant bending and twisting of the chassis or bodywork, which can consequently lead to the tyres losing grip.
