The vehicle chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads during dynamic driving. This is particularly noticeable due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or sudden acceleration.
When cornering, weight transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be subjected to loads up to three times greater than the other. This results in high loads, chassis twisting and body deformation, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer.
This 2-point rear lower chassis brace is designed to provide additional reinforcement for the rear of the vehicle. The product is suitable for Toyota Fortuner (AN150) 2.4D 4WD, 2.7 4WD and 2.8D 4WD.
