The vehicle chassis is exposed to considerable loads during fast driving, particularly due to the transfer of body weight during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When driving through a corner, one side of the vehicle can be subjected to loads up to three times greater than the other due to weight transfer. This causes the chassis to flex, or the bodywork to deform and twist torsionally, which can result in the tyres losing grip.
Chassis deformation and flexing in corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The Ultra Racing rear lower chassis brace helps further connect the mounting points and reduce unwanted body movement.
