The vehicle chassis is exposed to significant loads while driving, particularly due to the transfer of body mass during fast cornering, heavy braking and acceleration.
During cornering, mass transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to 3 times more than the other. This leads to significant bending, deformation and twisting of the body, which can cause the tyres to lose grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting while driving through corners can cause undesirable handling characteristics, such as understeer and oversteer.
The Ultra Racing brace helps reduce unwanted chassis movement. It is a front lower brace with 2 mounting points, designed for Ford Mustang S-197 vehicles with the 5.4 Supercharged engine and S-197II vehicles with the 3.7 V6 engine and 2WD.
