The 2-point interior chassis brace (Room Bar) is designed for the Honda City (GD8) 1.5 2WD, model years 2002–2008. It is attached at 2 points inside the vehicle.
The car’s chassis is the part subjected to the greatest loads while driving. This is particularly evident when the vehicle’s body mass is transferred during fast cornering, heavy braking or acceleration.
When cornering, mass transfer can cause one side of the vehicle to be loaded up to three times more than the other. The result is greater loads on the chassis, body twisting and loss of tyre grip.
Chassis deformation and twisting during cornering can cause undesirable handling characteristics such as understeer and oversteer. The interior chassis brace helps reduce these effects by providing additional support for the body.
